You have to remember that you don’t own a dog of this breed, but it owns you. If the owner doesn’t have a sense of humor or is crazy about clean house, he will be annoyed and disappointed with the dog, which likes to dig, chew and play in mud.

These dogs are wonderful, but high maintenance pets, they are big and bumbling and require lots of time, knowledge and patience. Young dogs are a special challenge, as they need great deal of exercise and should be tired not to be destructive. A bloodhound pup should start it's training as a puppy.
